Kristy Biber - Principal Soprano
Kristy Biber has been singing in choirs in Melbourne for over 15 years. Her love of choral singing began in the Trinity College Choir at the University of Melbourne where she had the opportunity to be part of the recording of five albums for ABC Classics as well as tours to Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, USA, Germany and the UK.
Kristy is a founding member of the Consort of Melbourne and Polyphonic Voices, and has collaborated with artists such as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, the Rolling Stones, the Hilltop Hoods, Patti LuPone, and Deborah Cheetham. She has also had the opportunity to work with conductors such as Eric Whitacre, Stephen Layton and Peter Phillips.
She is the Leading Musician at St Paul’s Cathedral and has been singing with the Cathedral Choir since the introduction of women’s voices in 2016.
In 2019 she toured Sweden with new vocal group the Melbourne Octet and looks forward to more touring soon!
When not singing with choirs, Kristy spends her time singing with families and small children in her day job as a Registered Music Therapist.
