Hannah Pietsch - Principal Alto
Hannah has been a member of the Consort of Melbourne since 2015.
Her singing career spans classical, pop, musical theatre and jazz. She has performed with a number of vocal ensembles, including Gloriana, Vox Angelica, Luminescence and e21, and has worked with directors such as Deborah Cheetham, Erin Helyard, Roland Peelman, Graham Abbott and Benjamin Northey. She has also appeared for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Plexus and Musica Viva.
Hannah has featured in a number of world premiere works, including as the narrator in Sue Westhorp’s award-winning St John Passion and the alto soloist in Kym Dillon’s cantata A
Righteousness from God. She has been the recipient of multiple Lyrebird and Music Theatre Guild awards and nominations for leading theatre roles.
Hannah is trained in piano and flute as well as voice. She sings regularly at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Box Hill, co-coordinating the music and worship programs. She also has a corporate career as a communications executive.
